My history of UTIs has given me a phobia of anything coming near my vagina (aside from the usual, you know) so I just erred on the side of caution and stuck with the pills. And yeah, I really wanted to try the NuvaRing but when I saw that vaginal infections were included in the side effects I was scared out of it. I know you've already chosen Ortho Lo, which I was on for 4 years, but I have the same thing with BC: I'm kinda creeped out by the even flow of ultra hormones in my bod. Don't get me wrong I have been on birth control for 8 years now (damn either I was a super slutty 16 yr old or am just getting old) and I like that it makes the periods lighter but still... it's kinda weird. ANYWAY, I have been on the nuvaring for the past few years and aside from it's tendencies to make me sip apple-tinis in a nightclub chatting with my girlfriends in medical detail about it's side effects, I absolutely love it. It's an excellent form of BC with very little side effects. But due to cost I am thinking of getting on the Copper IUD in the next few months which has no hormones in it, so may be the most natural feel.
